Grand, true Farmhouse on 22 acres located in Historical Spartanburg at the end of a quiet, tree-lined lane. Four Bedrooms plus Workout Room, 3.5 baths, 2-car garage with new doors and separate workroom, James Hardie fiber cement siding and brick exterior. The stately front porch invites you into the two-story entryway, complete with stunning crystal chandelier and wrap-around staircase. Elegant moldings, hardwood floors, and 10’ ceilings throughout. There are two master bedrooms each with its own en suite bath; one on the main floor and one on the second. A third bedroom upstairs also has a full bathroom. Both Masters include walk-in closets, double sinks, and lots of storage. The first floor master also has a tranquil bay window reading nook. The expansive kitchen is bright and cheery and includes a large granite center island, stainless appliances, a Jenn-Air range with downdraft, and a Breakfast Room with a bay window. Miles of cabinets, a full pantry, and a built-in desk complete this fabulous space. The Laundry/Mud room is an organizer’s dream! Exquisite French doors separate the kitchen from the dining room. In the great room, you’ll find a stone fireplace with built-ins on either side, ceiling beams, and a large wet bar that can accommodate guests. The deck overlooks the natural mature woods and is spacious enough for family BBQs and gatherings. Nearly every day in late afternoon, a deer family meanders across the backyard to say “hello”. An orchard, walking paths, and hunting area tucked within the acreage are ready to be explored and discovered. With a new architectural roof and recently updated HVACs, come home to Country living with city convenience!
We love that we can shop at a variety of stores in Spartanburg including Westgate Mall or we can go just up the road to the Gaffney Outlet Marketplace. Restaurants are plentiful and there is lots of fun in downtown Spartanburg.
The neighbors here are so friendly and wave at each other while we are getting the mail or when we see each other driving by.
We love to eat at Hickory Tavern, Willy Taco, Cribb’s Kitchen On Main, and Marco’s Pizza in Spartanburg.
Grocery stores are plentiful, close by, and we have a choice between Ingles, Publix, and Lidl.
When we bought the property we were drawn to how impressive the house looked on the beautiful and spacious land. The wildlife and deer are also amazing to watch.
The Spartanburg area has plenty to do and has an active downtown area with plenty of festivals, events, and restaurants. We have met many of our good friends in downtown Spartanburg while volunteering at the BBQ festivals. Also, we can choose between GSP or Charlotte Airport when we need to travel.
A few other things that I can mention is that we really like the quiet, peaceful country living but yet we like that fact that we are conveniently located just 5-10 minutes from large stores like Home Depot, Lowes, grocery stores, and restaurants. There are plenty of lakes to go boating or spend the day fishing and Croft State Park is very close.
Of course, we all like different things but we really enjoy grilling out at home on the deck and entertaining with friends, family, and neighbors. We also spend time in the great outdoors camping and fishing.
Our utility costs are also very reasonable and our Duke Energy bill is surprisingly low due to the recently updated HVAC units. Spartanburg Water System, Spectrum, and DIRECTV all provide good reliable service.
