The things I love about Greenville are the many restaurants and shops that are walking distance from our condo. We can leave our car in the parking garage and walk in any direction to grab a quick lunch, or sit down to a delicious dinner. The walking trails, bridge walk, and local entertainment add to the appeal of living in this area and provide many hours of enjoyable activities. Another thing I love is that I can even walk to the grocery store!
Our neighborhood is great for families and friends to meet and enjoy spending time together. Walk downtown to get an ice cream cone, listen to live music, or take a relaxing stroll along the river. There is so much to do and see, there is never a dull moment. On Sundays, there are a variety of churches with open doors, welcoming people to join in worship.
We love to eat at several of the amazing restaurants in downtown Greenville. Some of our favorite places are Sassafras Southern Bistro, Grill Marks, Smoke on the Water, Trios, Mellow Mushroom, and Soby’s. And for dessert we walk over to Spill the Beans for a gourmet custom-blended ice cream cone!
Grocery stores are nearby and offer everything you need. You can walk to the downtown Publix or drive a short distance to other stores in the area.
We bought our property when our son was attending Furman University. We wanted a fun and convenient place to meet as a family when we visited him. We fell in love with Greenville, and to this day it is our favorite city in the U.S.
The Greenville area is a family-friendly town with lots of activities for all ages. It has everything to offer without being too crowded or busy.
We enjoy the green market and street fairs which are not only fun, but offer the opportunity to support the local farmers and merchants.
Since our family loves outdoor activities, the hiking and walking trails are something we always enjoy. Our favorite summer holiday is the 4th of July and there is no better place to celebrate than downtown Greenville. We enjoy picnic lunches by the river, we listen to live concerts, and at night we watch the amazing fireworks display from the sidewalk, or even our own window. The best part of 4th of July is that we can walk from the condo and don’t get tied up in traffic! We also love attending the cultural events at the Peace Center throughout the year. Greenville has something for everyone!
Our utility costs are very reasonable. Being in a building with other units protects our unit from extreme temperatures. Duke Energy is a reliable and customer friendly company.
