The things I love about Greenville are its great downtown area with so much to do! We are centralized in the state, so you can get to the mountains or the beach in short time. Our neighborhood is great because although it is in the heart of the city, it has the country feel of woods and privacy. We are within walking distance to great schools and close to the highway as well.
There are a vast variety of eating establishments that are very close. If you want fast food, you can get there within 3 minutes. If you want fine dining, you are within 5 minutes of downtown where almost every cuisine is available.
Grocery stores are plentiful and close at hand as well. There are several options available, from Bi-Lo to a neighborhood Walmart to discount groceries as well.
When we found this house, we loved the kitchen, and the deck, and then the downstairs living space was a big draw for the kids. The downstairs living space has been used for an office, a workout room, a dorm room, and a bedroom with a sitting room. The large back yard is great for volleyball, badminton, playing catch, and even practicing a golf swing!
We love being close to everything, but not feeling like we are in the rush of the city.
We love the simplicity of the area and the house, and the opportunity to entertain here. The deck and the dining room accommodate family dinners, or birthday parties, get-togethers, and movie nights in the large living room, or the downstairs living space.
Biking trails begin at Cleveland Park which is just minutes from this address. The Bon Secours Wellness Arena which has a full schedule of concerts and sports activities is very close also. Area softball fields are within minutes, as well as tennis courts, and ice skating. For those that enjoy cooking out, the deck at this address is great for that as well as outdoor dining.
Since replacing the HVAC system in 2010, the Duke Power bill has been competitive with energy efficient houses in the neighborhood. The Greenville Water bill is manageable with the water flow regulator in the garage. Piedmont Natural Gas bills are minimal during the summer, and very economical in the winter. Underground power lines also almost eliminate power outages due to ice in the winter.
